Looking into a new Ford truck?
Im a die hard Ford guy and thats all i ever will and ever have drove first off ha so dont try to reccomend anything other than a Ford. Anyways I currently have a 4.6 v8 97 f150 but in the future would like something with a little more hp due to pulling a large boat fairly often and just for the hell of it. I love the Lightnings but they’re a little hard to find and the ones i have found have had more miles than i prefer. Surprisingly I’ve never drove a 5.4 litre v8 so is there really much of a difference between the 4.6 and 5.4 Tritons?
Ok, here it goes.. I now drive a 04 F150 4×4 with a 5.4. My last truck was a 97 4×4 F150 extended cab with the 4.6. With the 5.4, no more having to downshift on hills, especially pulling a trailor. The mileage isnt that much of a differance. Get the 5.4. You’ll have no regrets. It spins those tires very easily!! (I run 285-18 BFG’s)
