small boats for sale in texas
I only have a bill of sale for a small boat trailer. I’m getting different info from dmv as to what to do nxt?
I bought a small (14 foot) boat trailer and only got a bill of sale. The trailer had been towed from Texas. I’ve tried to get information from the DMV, but it seems each form I’m told to fill out is the wrong one when I go back in. Has anyone had any luck getting a boat trailer titled with just a bill of sale in Virginia? Is there a better way to do this? Any help would be appreciated! Mike
In Virginia if you have a trailer that has never been titled, you need a Manufacturers Certificate of Origin, and the bill of sale. So, assuming the company is still in business, call or email them and ask for a duplicate. You’ll need to find the SR number which should be stamped around the tongue. Of, there is a provision for an affidavit in lew of the original. You here about the home built thing all the time, but it’s incorrect……it’s not in fact home built……
