Advice needed re UK boating holidays?
Hi
I’m thinking of trying a boating holiday in the UK sometime this year, it will be the first time I’ve done it so I don’t know where to start. There are 4 of us going, none of us having done it in recent memory. The most obvious location is Norfolk Broads – but I don’t know if this is the best place for starters to go? The plan would be to hire a canal or cruiser boat if possible, and basically take it easy drifting around somewhere for a few days – a week. I’m looking for advice on where to try, what kind of boat to get, do we need training, etc etc. Price is a big factor, we don’t mind cheap and cheerful as long as it’s not rubbish!
Cheers
Matt
Hi you should try narrow boating,I did it and had a wonderfull time, we hired one from one from skipton west yorkshire, and sailed on the Leeds and liverpool canal its more exciting than the broads there is always somthing different around the next bend and not crowded with people like the broads are .Try Hoaseasons on there website. PS basic instruction is given but its mostly common sence.
