One more Question for the religious jews out here. Do you belive that Noah’s ark actually happened?
Once again directed to the religious Jews out there. According to several books i read, “Maimonides stated that one should first attempt to interpret the biblical text literally. However,if the literal meaning CONTRADICTS LOGIC or well established facts, then one should interpret the biblical words metaphorically”
That being stated, one can argue that Noah gathering Every animal onto one boat that he hand made, from an abundance of wood he found and cut down himself, that that contradicts logic. so is one supposed to take the story metaphorically? In all my years studying no one mentioned this idea to me, and it seemed that everyone accepted the story at face value, as the literal truth. What do you believe and think on this subject?

Also as an Orthodox Jew, I do not know. I mean, it is possible in the way that miracles are possible, but it is not logically possible. My heart wants to believe it but my head usually can’t, so I’m kind of stuck in the middle.
I don’t really know what else to tell you :-/ I mean there’s been hints of historical evidence that at one time the earth was covered by a great flood, but the ark has never been found, not even slight slight remains and of something so large…
