Having Fun in Laughlin, Nevada
If you are on a tight budget when you are traveling to Las Vegas, then drive on over to Laughlin Nevada. It is about an hour and 15 minute drive. It is also ideal if you are not one for crowds and traffic. Near perfect year round weather, an abundance of water recreation, exciting gaming and a variety of dining offered by eleven resorts and casinos makes Laughlin a complete adult destination. Many of the five million visitors who enjoy Laughlin each year combine the experiences of their favorite Laughlin resort with top name entertainment, a special event, a round of golf, boating, shopping or a seemingly endless list of other activities. You can ride a train at the Tropicana Express on the weekends. There is a water taxi that is a beautiful ride down the Colorado River. The hotel rooms are very cheap year around. The best buffet in Laughlin is at Harrah’s. There is an excellent Sunday brunch at the Avi Resort, also at Granny’s in the Pioneer. There is single deck black jack at the Pioneer.
The best resort in Laughlin for families with children is the Riverside Hotel. They have a movie theater, bowling alley and an arcade.
There is one mall there called the Preffered Outlets. It has great deals on name brand clothing like the Gap and Osh Kosh. The summer temperatures can be very brutal. The best season to visit is Spring but, avoid the Harley run weekend in April if you don’t like crowds.
A great Mexican restaurant there is Casa Serrano. The jet ski rentals are cheaper on the Arizona side. If you have time you should visit Oatman, AZ to see donkies and an old town.
